Directive interaction
A session in which the user states the task and the AI completes it with minimal back-and-forth; the purest form of delegation.
43.8% of Claude Code sessions were directive in April 2025; across all Claude.ai use the directive share rose from 27% to 39% between late 2024 and mid 2025 as models became reliable enough to trust with whole tasks. Directive share is a useful internal metric for agent maturity.
