DORA metrics
Four delivery measures (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, time to restore) used to judge whether AI improves delivery.
Google Cloud's DORA programme has tracked these since 2014. Its 2025 report on AI-assisted development (~5,000 respondents) found AI adoption correlated positively with throughput for the first time but negatively with delivery stability, and that 90% of tech professionals now use AI at work. DORA metrics are the standard team-level counterweight to individual acceptance-rate claims.
