DORA metrics
Four delivery measures — deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, time to restore — used to judge whether AI adoption improves software delivery.
Google Cloud's DORA programme has tracked these since 2014. Its 2025 report on AI-assisted development (~5,000 respondents) found AI adoption correlated positively with throughput for the first time but negatively with delivery stability, and that 90% of tech professionals now use AI at work. DORA metrics are the standard team-level counterweight to individual acceptance-rate claims.
