How do I find all my subscriptions?

TODO for AI · updated

Check four places: your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, PayPal automatic payments, your card statements for recurring charges, and your inbox for words like receipt, renewal and subscription. Put everything in one list with price, billing cycle and next renewal date. An agent can search your email and statements and build that list for you.

Do this for me Free plan, no card. It asks before sending or posting anything.

How to do it

  1. Phone stores. iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Android: Google Play, Profile, Payments and subscriptions.
  2. PayPal. Settings, Payments, Manage automatic payments shows every merchant that can charge you.
  3. Bank and card. Look through 12 months of statements for the same merchant charging the same amount. Three months catches monthly plans; annual plans need the full year.
  4. Inbox. Search for receipt, invoice, renewal, your plan and trial ends. Annual plans only show up once a year, so search 12 months back.
  5. One list. Name, price, monthly or yearly, next renewal, keep or cancel. Annualise everything to see the real cost.

I found 12 subscriptions in card_statements_12m.csv (Oct 2, 2025, Sep 28, 2026). At current prices they cost about $2,273 a year, or $189 a month.

All subscriptions

Subscription Billing Monthly Yearly Charged on
Adobe Creative Cloud monthly $59.99 $719.88 19th
Planet Fitness monthly $24.99 $299.88 12th
Netflix monthly $17.99 ⚠️ $215.88 10th
Audible monthly $14.95 $179.40 6th
Peloton App monthly $12.99 $155.88 3rd
Spotify monthly $11.99 $143.88 8th
Notion monthly $10.00 $120.00 26th
NYTimes Digital monthly $4.00 ⚠️ $48.00 18th
iCloud monthly $2.99 $35.88 5th
Amazon Prime annual ($11.58) $139.00 Jan 25
Dropbox Plus annual ($9.99) $119.88 May 5
Norton 360 annual ($7.92) $94.99 Aug 25
Total $189.38 $2,272.55

The monthly ones come to $159.89/month and the three annual ones to $353.87/year. What you actually paid over the 12 months was $2,255; it's lower because Netflix cost less before May.

Price increases

  • Netflix: went from $15.49 to $17.99 in May 2026, a 16% rise that adds $30 a year.
  • NYTimes at $4/month: this looks like an introductory price. It has been $4 for all 12 months, so it may soon switch to the full price, which is usually several times higher. Check the renewal date in your NYT account.

Annual renewals coming up (today is Oct 12)

  • Norton 360 ($94.99): it renewed on Aug 25. Norton usually refunds annual renewals within 60 days, which would end around Oct 24, so you have about 12 days. This is the most urgent item.
  • Amazon Prime ($139): renews Jan 25, 2027.
  • Dropbox Plus ($119.88): renews May 5, 2027.
  • Adobe: $59.99 a month is usually an annual plan paid monthly. Cancelling in the middle of the year usually costs a fee, so cancel or downgrade near the anniversary. The anniversary isn't in the statements; check your Adobe account.

Worth cancelling

The statements show charges, not how much you use each service, so these are based on spending patterns:

  1. Norton 360: Windows Defender or the protection built into macOS is enough for most people. Cancel and ask for a refund before Oct 24. Saves $95.
  2. Amazon Prime: apart from the membership itself, there isn't a single Amazon purchase on this card all year. Unless you shop on Amazon with another card, you aren't using it. Cancel before Jan 25. Saves $139.
  3. Peloton App or Planet Fitness: two fitness subscriptions that overlap. Keep the one you actually use. Saves $156 or $300.
  4. Audible: it overlaps with Spotify, since Spotify Premium in the US includes 15 hours of audiobooks a month. Saves $179.
  5. Adobe Creative Cloud: this is your biggest subscription. If you only use Photoshop or Lightroom, the Photography plan costs about $20 a month. Saves about $480.
  6. Dropbox and iCloud: two cloud storage services. Decide which one to keep before Dropbox renews on May 5. Saves $36 to 120.

These look fine to keep: Spotify, Notion, and Netflix (you could also cancel Netflix for a few months at a time).

If you do 1 to 5 (dropping Peloton in #3), you'd save about $1,050 a year.

FAQ

How do I find subscriptions I forgot about?
Search your inbox 12 months back for receipt and renewal, and look for small repeating card charges. Forgotten ones are usually annual plans or trials that converted.
Can it cancel them too?
It can open the cancel page in your logged-in browser and walk through it, and it asks before confirming anything.
Does it need my bank login?
No. A downloaded statement (PDF or CSV) is enough.
Can I get a reminder before renewals?
Yes. Ask it to warn you a week before each annual renewal.
